To our patients, friends, and family, we are excited to announce that we reopened today. Through the end of May, Dr. Vits and staff will be in the Rock Falls office on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the Dixon office on Tuesday and Thursday. No Saturday hours are planned at this time.
Today’s reopening is the first step in our recovery from the office closures that began in mid-March. We ask that you bear with us as we establish and navigate post-covid routines. Our staff has worked behind the scenes to set the stage for reopening today and we are grateful for their innovation and support.
In an effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, here are a few more things to know when planning your next visit to Discount Eyewear.
1. We will be limiting the number of people inside the office at any one time. When you arrive at the office, please you stay in your car and call 815/625-6195 or 815/994-4100 to let us know that you have arrived. We will provide curbside service for dispensing and repairs. Patients with exams will enter the building and be subject to a quick health screening.
2. We will require everyone to WEAR A MASK to enter the building. Please bring your mask with you. This not only helps protect you, it helps protect others.
3. Only the patient and, where applicable, the patient’s caregiver/parent/guardian will be allowed to enter the building and participate in the exam.
We know that many patients that have had their appointments cancelled due to the temporary closure. We apologize for this inconvenience and will reach out to those patients to reschedule the cancelled exams.
We also know that some patients just don’t feel safe yet in coming to their appointments. We understand and ask that you let us know ahead of time so that we may offer that appointment slot to another patient..
The safety of our patients and staff is our priority as we reopen, and we apologize in advance for the inconveniences caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
